Andy Reyes has been a Real Estate Broker since 1977 and a State Certified General Real Estate Appraiser since 1986. He is the co-owner of the Prudential Reyes-Planka Real Estate Franchise in the City Of Alvin, Texas. He has been involved in a number of Management Seminars in Real Estate Brokerage and Real Estate Appraising, both as a participant and a speaker. Andy has been Involved with several civic organizations throughout the years, but he takes pride in being the first Board Chairman of the local YMCA and in being the recipient of the YMCA Area Volunteer of the Year Award for 2000. His involvement in local government started in 1994, when he served as the Chairman of the Planning Commission for the City of Alvin for 3 years. He was elected to the City of Alvin's Council At-Large Position 1 in 1997. He was re-elected to that position in the Year 2000, and served as Mayor Pro-Tem that same year. In May of 2002, Mr. Reyes was elected Mayor of the City of Alvin.
